Cinte Techtextil China: Gateway to Asia

Cinte Techtextil China has opened its doors today with the most diverse exhibitor line-up ever awaiting trade buyers at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. 480 suppliers from 26 countries and regions will highlight their technical textiles and nonwovens products from 12 to 14 October, making this edition the most international to date. The show benefits from a rapidly expanding technical textile industry in China.

Being the largest technical textile and nonwovens event in Asia, Cinte Techtextil China boasts pavilions from Belgium, Germany, Italy, Korea and Taiwan, as well as the European Zone and a number of regional Chinese pavilions. Amongst the individual exhibitors from a further 19 countries Denmark, Japan, Poland and Sweden take part for the first time. “The internationalism here this year is due in part to the continuing strength of the Chinese technical textiles and nonwovens market, while this potential is also drawing some of the biggest domestic names to exhibit here as well,” Ms Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager, Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd said. “While other sectors of the textile industry in China are in a more mature stage of their development, the technical textiles sector is still developing and expanding rapidly, with growth of 10.9% recorded in the first half of this year.”

China´s technical textile market on the rise
According to the National Bureau of Statistics of China growth in the technical textiles market will be seen especially from application areas such as filtration and separation, medical and hygiene, geotechnical, structure reinforcement, transportation and protective. However, another future growth sector will be smart textiles, driven by the rise of a wealthy Chinese middle class demanding for high quality fashion and the Chinese society being enthusiastic about technology as reported by Germany Trade and Invest. Digitalization and the demand for tracking technologies for goods are supposed to further accelerate the rise of smart textiles.

Cinte Techtextil China’s leading reputation in the country ensures some of the biggest domestic names in the nonwovens sector participate this October providing a wide range of sourcing options for buyers, particularly in the Medtech application area. Beautiful Nonwoven have the second largest nonwovens production capacity in China, while Hismer Bio-Technology and Zhejiang Kingsafe Nonwoven Fabric are other notable exhibitors in this category. Gateway to Asian market
As there is still a gap in techniques, product standard and quality, China still maintains vast demand on technical textile imports with Japan, Taiwan, Korea, USA and Germany currently being the top five countries and regions for these imports (75.5% of the total imports). Cinte Techtextil as the leading technical textiles and nonwovens trade fair in Asia once more offers the opportunity to take advantage of these business opportunities in the Chinese domestic market and at the same time is a gateway to Asia.
